Tell you how to select a Grow Light
26th, Feb 2016
There are a lot of different grow lights for sale out there and it can be confusing to figure out which type is best for your indoor garden, The following run-down should bring some clarity.
Incandescent Lamps are inexpensive and can be bought at a hardware store or nursery. While they work OK for growing houseplants, they are not ideal for an indoor garden.
Fluorescent Lights work best for growing herbs and other plants that don't require a lot of light. They are not good for plants that are budding or flowering because they don't put off enough light. Inexperience, they can be purchased at the local hardware or garden supply store.
The new Company Fluorescent Systems, however, are quite bright and efficient and in some cases might even be better than the fancier high intensity discharge (HID) lights. Compact fluorescent are smaller and more efficient than older forms of fluorescent lighting so they can be used for all plants. They also produce less heart than incandescent and HID lights and consequently can be places much closer to the plant.
High Intensity Discharge (HID) Bulbs are the brightest and most efficient lights available, but they can be used for all plants. They also produce less heat than incandescent and HID lights and consequently can be placed much closer to the plants.
There is more to a grow light than just the bulb. You can purchase the reflector, cord, ballast, bulb and other parts separately, or buy a whole system that just needs ti be plugged in.
What size grow light do you need? This will vary depending on the mounting height of the reflector ( how far above your plants the light is) and the size of your indoor garden. In general, the following recommendations apply:
size of light(Wattage) Area Coverage Mounting height
Recommendations above plants
400 Watt no outside light 5'*5' area 1 to 4 Feet
some sunlight 8'*8' area
600 Watt no outside light 7'*7' area 1.5 to 5 Feet
some sunlight 10'*10' area
1000 Watt no outside light 8'*8' area 2 to 6 Feet
some sunlight 12'*12' area
Here is a thing, there are also many hydroponics garden system, if you are a flowers' lover and not good at planting, maybe you can try this.
Wish you like.

We all want Green in our house
Not only do plants cleanse your household air (read about Greens That Clean) and improve the aesthetic of any indoor space, they can also provide your family with a wealth of yummy, organic foods.
When the winter blahs set in and your dreaming of fresh greens from your summer garden, you can consider growing indoors.
City dwellers, or those without a good gardening spot in the yard, may find growing indoors especially useful. Plants don't need to take up much space--a windowsill is fine if garden may become starter plants for an outdoor garden come spring.
Getting Started
Space
An indoor garden can take up as much or as little space as you are willing to give it.Growing plants of all kinds, even tomato gardening can be done on a windowsill or on a table.
Larger growers, or the more dedicated may want to set up a table or bench specially for the garden. Find an area with a tile or linoleum floor to catch the inevitable drops of water, or place a tarp under your table.
Shelves provide lots of planting room while taking up little space. If using shelves, make sure that adequate light reaches every plant. This may require a separate grow light for each shelf.
Light
Plants need light to photosynthesize and need to photosynthesize to survive. Without adequate light a plant will grow tall and spindly. If there is enough energy to grow leaves, they still may not totally expand. And without enough light, don't plan on seeing flowers or fruit.
Actually, there are so many knowledge about plant indoors, I will continue to update, if you prefer, you can support my blog.
By the way, recommend a Chinese product--"Igrow", a hydroponics garden system. If you are a flowers' lover but not good at planting, you can try it, I think it is a good machine to plant indoors. This is the link and pictures. WISH youhappy! https://www.wish.com/c/5695fd153fa51e32d0afdb87

Follow me and learn How to Grow a Pineapple indoors
To grow a pineapple plant, all you need is a fresh pineapple. Pick one up at the grocery store next time you are there, then separate the leaves from the fruit and soak the base in water. In a few weeks, roots will sprout, and you can plant your pineapple plant in a container and enjoy it for a long time to come. Keep reading to find out more about growing your own pineapple.
Part 1: Getting the Pineapple Ready
1. pick out a fresh pineapple.
Look for one with firm, green leaves that have not turned yellow or brown, The skin on the fruit should be golden brown and firm to the touch.
Smell the pineapple to see if it's ripe, it should emit sweet, heady smell indicating that you've chosen it at just the right time to start a new pineapple plant.
Make sure the pineapple is not underripe. It needs to be ripe in order to produce another pineapple.
Check to make sure the pineapple is not too ripe by tugging a little at the leaves. If they come right off, the pineapple is too ripe ti plant.
Make sure the pineapple does not have scale insects around the base of the leaves. They look like small grayish spots.
2.Twist the leaves off the top of the pineapple.
One hand and use the other to grab the leaves at the base and twist them off. This method ensures that the base of the leaves will stay intact. It will be attached to a minimum amount of fruit, which you don't need in order for the plant to grow.
1.If you're having trouble twisting off the top, you can slice off the top of the pineapple. Since off the excess fruit around the root.
2.Make sure the base, the very tip of the area where the leaces join together, stays intact. New roots will be sprouting from this, and without it the plant won't grow.
3.Strip off some of the lower leavers to expose the stem.
This helps the sprout roots once it is planted. Strip until a few inches if the stem are exposed. Cut away any remaining fruit without damaging the stem.
4. Turn it upside down and left it dry for a week.
The scars where you made a cut and removed the leaves will harden, which is necessary before you take the next step.
Part 2 Soaking the Pineapple Crown
1. Fill a large glass with water.
The mouth of glass should be large enough to fit the pineapple crown inside, but small enough so that you can prop it up to keep it from getting completely submerged.
2. Stick a few toothpicks into the pineapple crown.
Place them across from each other near the top of the stem. Push them in just far enough so that that'll stay in place. These toothpicks are used to suspend the pineapple crown in the glass of water.
3. Put the crown in the water.
The toothpicks should rest on the rim of the glass. The stem should be submerged in the water, and the leaves should stick out the top.
4. Place the glass in a sunny window and wait for the roots to sprout.
It should take several days or up to a few weeks for white roots to poke out and begin to grow.
Keep the plant away from extreme temperatures.Don't let it get too hot or too cold.
Change out the water every few days to prevent the growth of mold.
Part 3 Planting the Pineapple Crown
1. Prepare a pot of soil for the crown,
Fill a 6-inch pot with light garden soil that has a 30% blend of organic matter. This has the right blend of nutrients for the pineapple plant.
2. Plant the pineapple crown in the pot.
Plant the crown when the roots are a few inches long. Wait until they've gotten long enough to take root in soil if you plant the crown too early it won't do well. Press the soil firmly around the base of the crown without getting any soil on the leaves.
3. Keep the plant moist and warm.
It needs a sunny, warm and humid environment where the night temperatures won't drop below 65℉(18℃). If conditions are dry, mist the plant regularly.
You can keep the pot outside if you live in a warm climate. If you have cool winters take it indoors during the winter season and keep it in a sunny window. It's important for the plant to get a lot of sun all year round.
4. Give the plant food and water.
Water the soil lightly once a week. Fertilize the plant with half-strength fertilizer twice a month during the summer.
5. Look for flowers,
It can take several years, but eventually a red cones should appear from the center of the leaves, followed by blue flowers and eventually a fruit. It takes about six months for the fruit to fully develop. The pineapple will grow from the flower, above ground, in the center of the plant.

Tips:
It might help to start growing two pineapples, in case one of them doesn't do so well. That way, you have a better chance of bringing a pineapple plant to fruition.
To encourage the plant to flower, put the plant in a bag with two very ripe apples cut in half. The ethylene gas released by the apples can trigger the blooming process.
In order to produce full-size pineapples, the plant will need to be about six feet across and six feet tall. Unless you're prepared to accommodate for this size, don't be surprised if you don't get supermarket-sized pineapples.
Be very careful if using a wild pineapple. The sap from unripened pineapple plants contains enzymes which are extremely powerful and might irritate your skin.

Especially in the Nordic counteries, the lack of sunshine in winter, and a long night , if there is a gardening machine, then it can meet the request of plant about light, water and nutrients.
According to the guide, firstly, add 6 liters of water with nutrient solution to the flowers grow machine. Few days later, the leaves are still moist , so I relieves.
